At the time, I doubt that many organisations, entrepreneurs and employees appreciated the tipping of the scales in this legislation. The age of “EE” and “AA” had arrived. Noble intentions brought unintended consequences. Sure, EE has raised diversity in the workforce, tackled discrimination, given opportunities for designated groups & fuelled the business of EE. But in 2007, SA organisations are reeling from the brain drain, skills shortages, token appointments and racial tensions in the workplace.
Is it time to end EE?
